In-Home Massage in Austin: How It Works
In-home massage in Austin means your therapist comes to your house, sets up a massage table in a room you choose, and does the whole session there. You don't need to prepare anything except a clear space. At Bodywork Traditions, I offer 90-minute in-home deep tissue and trigger point sessions in Bee Cave, Lakeway and West Austin for $220 flat, booked by Instagram DM.
How does in-home massage work in Austin?
You message me on Instagram with your area and the days and times that work for you. We confirm a slot. On the day, I drive to your home, set up in the room you've picked, and the session happens there from start to finish.
Bodywork Traditions is one therapist. The person you book with is the person who shows up, every time.
What do I need to prepare?
A space. You need enough open floor for a massage table, with room for me to walk around it on every side. A bedroom or living room usually works fine.
Pick a room you're comfortable in. Some people like the lights low. Some want a window cracked. That's your call.
You don't need sheets, towels, oil or a table of your own.
What does the therapist bring?
I bring the massage table and fresh linens for every client. Oil comes with me too.
Everything I bring leaves with me when the session is over.
How does the session flow?
When I arrive, I carry the table in and set it up. While I do that, we talk about what you want from the session: which areas to focus on, how much pressure you like, and anything you'd rather I skip.
Then I step out while you get onto the table under the sheet. You undress to whatever level you're comfortable with. You stay covered the whole time except for the area I'm working on.
My work is Austin deep tissue in the literal sense. The pressure is genuinely deep and slow, and I adjust it the moment you ask. Trigger point work is part of most sessions: I hold sustained pressure on specific spots, either ones you point out or ones I come across as I work.
Talk as much or as little as you want. Silence is fine.
When we're done, I step out so you can get dressed. Then I fold up the table, pack everything, and leave your room the way I found it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need my own massage table for a massage at home in Austin?
No. I bring the table, linens and oil to every session. All you provide is the floor space.
How much does an in-home massage cost?
A 90-minute in-home session with Bodywork Traditions is $220 flat. You book it by sending a DM to @bodywork_traditions on Instagram.
Which areas do you cover?
I see clients in Bee Cave, Lakeway and West Austin. If you live close by and aren't sure, send a message and ask.
Can I choose how deep the pressure is?
Yes. My work leans toward genuinely deep pressure, but you set the level. You can ask me to go lighter or deeper at any point during the session.
Will I see the same therapist each time?
Yes. Bodywork Traditions is one therapist, so you get the same person at every session.
What if I don't have a spare room?
You don't need one. Any room with enough open floor for the table works, and living rooms are a common choice.
